[as usual, written in code on a random page]
Who knew that time could pass so quickly? Ten days. Over a week spent here and I am still no closer to getting out than the day I first woke up. So much has happened in this week that it feels like a year. Impossible though, yes? Hijikata-san seems to be adjusting well to this place, as well as anyone can adjust at least. I don't see him as often as I'd like, but the days are busy and we often miss each other somehow.
Is it wrong to feel settled in such a place as this? I have a sinking feeling that time is marching on without me, meaning that I'm still dying at home. They're all still dying and unless I can get back with the information, or send Hijikata-san home with it, we can change nothing. It's a depressing thought.
For the first time since arriving here, I'm actually under the weather. After a nasty strike last night by a giant scorpion, I've come down with a fever. Hijikata-san would laugh at me, really. It was only a bit of rancid blood, but the smell and the feel of itwas nauseatin was entirely unpleasant.
Homura-san says he wishes to speak with me. ...I wonder what he has to say.
I am soooo bored right now.
